Airstream Office Space Remodel | Rear Desk

Two works spaces on opposite ends of the Airstream: completed! Here’s a look at our finished remodel of our former dual twin bed sleeping area. We’ve put a (twin bed-sized) sofa on the opposite side, opened up more floor space and added the barnwood built-ins and a custom-made desk. We have two of these vintage turquoise chairs – one at each desk – but I’ve used the more attractive of the two in the photos for both spaces (in case this chair looks very familiar to you!). There will be a white flat screen TV on the surface to the right of the desk. We are awaiting the replacement pedestal to arrive (it was lost in the remodel, boo!). My favorite parts of this space are the insanely awesome macrame lightΒ and the turquoise wall planter. LOVE.

A detailed look at the wall next to the desk: a small piece of barnwood with vintage clips. The tiny photo of Johnny Cash was found while ripping the old Airstream kitchen out. πŸ˜‰ The motorcycle license plate was found at an antique shop.

I have another skull pencil holder on this desk. Love the grain on this barnwood – it even has carpenter bee grooves.

Miniature tapestry rug mouse pad can be bought here.

A detailed look at this beautiful ceramic planter by Melissa at Muddy Heart. It completely looks like turquoise stone and shimmers ever so slightly in the sunlight. So beautiful. Take a look at her collection here.

Here’s a view of the desk from the sofa. Such an inviting place to work!

Our lucky number is 11 so I bought this old elevator number at an antique shop.

Another beautiful piece by Muddy Heart. Shop mugs here.

I love the drape of this light cord. So dreamy!

  1. Hi there!! I just love your blog and what you have done with the airstream! You have such great taste and style πŸ˜‰ I wanted to ask you where you got your mouse pad from? I wasn’t sure if it was an actual mouse pad or a miniature tapestry rug that you are using has one. Love it!

    1. Thanks so much! So nice of you to say. πŸ™‚ Actually it is an actual mouse pad! Here is the link.
