Airstream Water Filtration

After hooking Mavis up to water, we discovered the original kitchen water filter head would not seal properly. Replacing the head with a modern unit is straight forward with a couple of plumbing adapters from your local hardware store. Changing the head out also ensures you have the ability to purchase a wide range of modern filters. Check out Everpure to decide which best meets your needs. We went with the ADC filter which reduces the taste of chlorine and a wide range of sketchy things in water. Even better, it lasts about one season (ours has been used full time for two months and is holding strong).

It’s important to know that this only filters the kitchen cold line and will not filter your hot water, shower, bathroom sink, etc. Unless you take on some plumbing surgery, the filter is required to complete the flow of water to your sink. If you’d like a filter on your entire water line, Camco makes an external filter (40631) which hooks between the water source and your city water connection.
